Chicken necks and backs allow you to step into homemade broth making.  With our 3lb packs, you'll be able to make up to 3-4 quarts of broth.  

BROTH INSTRUCTIONS: 

INGREDIENTS:
2 carcasses
Hand full of onion skin/peels
End pieces of carrots, a few
End pieces of celery, a few
1 bay leaf
1 tsp salt

Place all ingredients in crock pot, then fill with water.  Cook down 16-36 hours.  Keep checking level of broth and add water if dropping.  Cool.  Strain and store in mason jars.  Store in fridge.

Every time we cook meals with carrots, celery, or onions; we store the peels and normal discards in the freezer for broth making.  The onion peels is what gives broth its dark color.  Also, you don’t want more than 1-2 inches of water cooked down, as this will make the broth very strong.  If that happens, just add water to it while it’s cooking.
